Restorative Dentistry

Sometimes a patient might need treatment in addition to a regular exam and dental cleaning. When you come in, we will make note of any problems that need to be taken care of. Restorative dentistry includes diagnosing and preventing disease and fixing damaged teeth.

If your teeth are misaligned, chipped, cracked, or decayed, we have several treatment options for you. After your consultation with Dr. Quyen Lee, she will recommend the best way to take care of any tooth issues you have. Our team takes your overall health into consideration when recommendation restorative work, including the condition of your jawbone and your other teeth.

Restorative materials may be made of dental amalgam, composite resin, porcelain, or gold. Amalgam or composite fillings are used to repair cavities or restore tooth surfaces. We prefer composite resin since the fillings are the same color as your natural teeth.

For minor flaws of the front teeth, dental veneers are available as a bonded porcelain shell. Veneers can help teeth look straighter, whiter, and full. Dental crowns are another option for teeth that are cracked or chipped. Crowns also provide protection for the tooth root.

We also offer take-home teeth whitening kits by Opalescence. This is often the best option if you have yellowing teeth without any other work needing to be done. The professional strength kit is customized for you, from the strength of the gel to the size of the tray.

Restorative dentistry doesn’t just restore your smile, but your oral health as well. We will show you how to take care of your restorations so they will last a long time and keep your smile glowing and beautiful!
